Out for a walk at 1:30pm -> Deadly hit and run. Learn more.


All to often, in Nashville & the surrounding area, there is literally no infrastructure for walkers.   

The photo below is so familiar for many of our roadways.  This is NOT SAFE & frankly not acceptable.  If you haven't let your  councilpersons know that safe sidewalks are a top priority - this is the time to do it.  

The deadly incident below occurred, at 1:30pm, when a husband and wife were out for a walk.

Our beautiful, sweet, caring and loving friend Dineen Cottrell is in the fight of her life right now! She was involved in a tragic accident that has left her in critical condition. Dineen lost her loving husband Bobby in the accident and now the family will face not only medical expenses but also funeral expenses for Bobby. Her beautiful daughter Summer has lost her amazing step-dad and is now focused on helping Dineen heal one day at a time. Let's all come together and help these amazing people! Dineen has such a giving heart! It is now our turn to open our hearts to her! Everyone keep praying hard!!! 




1 Of 2 Pedestrians Hit By Drunk Driver Dies

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - One of two pedestrians critically injured when they were struck by a drunk driver has died.

Authorities said the incident happened at 1:30 p.m. Saturday on Donmond Drive near Air Float Drive.
According to reports, police responded to the scene and found two adults, a man and a woman, injured after being hit by a vehicle while walking on the roadside.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 43-year-old Chris Solomon, who did not slow down or stop and was found by officials a few blocks away.
Police said the male victim passed away just hours after the incident. The woman was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was last listed in critical condition.
The identities of the victims had not been released.
Solomon, of Hendersonville, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, a third offense of DUI, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, and vehicular assault.
He was being held in the Sumner County Jail on a $300,000 bond. Solomon has been scheduled to appear in court on January 24, 2017.
